Lissie - Bully

Lissie is an american folk singer, she just released her second album a month ago. It's fantastic, moving and original. I think it's a great piece of work. Interestingly she seems to be doing particularly well in Europe, even making a few charts with her singles off this latest album. I ran into a few problems getting videos to work for her because so many of them are blocked in the US by Sony. There's Sony, not helping their reputation as a pain in the ass record company. Lissie's style is unrushed. Her lyrics are vague yet easy to relate to. I wanted to highlight this song, "Bully" specifically because of that quality in her words. The line "Your Momma's here and your Papa too, and we are so darn proud of you." hits me hard. This is a beautiful song and worth listening to over and over. I couldn't be happier with this live video of her and the band singing on the rooftop, let's hope people will look up and listen with us to some honest music.
